he Eyston Arms is a recently refurbished 17c Inn.

A lovely Cotswold flagstone floor complements the oak furniture, beams and Inglenook fireplace. The involvement of George and Cargie Dailey is clearly evident in the style and layout of this delightful haven of really good food. Their previous Pubs, namely the Boot at Barnard Gate and the Harcourt Arms at Stanton Harcourt were well known to pub and good food followers. You are likely to be greeted on arrival at the Eyston Arms by Daisy Barton, their vivacious business partner who leads the young team running this very popular Pub.

The kitchen is the domain of Maria Jaremchuk who was the Dailey’s first Chef when they opened the Eyston Arms, following the major refurbishment in 2003. Maria left to gain more experience and everybody is thrilled to welcome her back. Under Maria’s control, the menu features lots of Fresh Fish. Lamb and Game from the Hendred Estate and properly Aged Beef. If you enjoy first class Country Cooking, don’t leave it too long before visiting this welcoming establishment.

We popped in for a bite having seen the sign on the main road. What an amazing place and brilliant food. I just wish my local back in Yorkshire ws like this.

It's our unofficial office canteen; we wouldn't dream of taking our clients anywhere else as the food and service is spot on. A great little country gem!

We called into The Eyston Arms on Tuesday last on the advice of our closest friends. A real pleasure! To start with, the barman was welcoming, helpful and jovial (a stark contrast from some nondescript Australian or South African, which is so often the case in British pubs nowadays!). Our meal and wine were excellent, in particular my steak was cooked to perfection. The service was a little erratic, but the girls were very pleasant and clearly did their very best for us. We will certainly be calling into this smashing little pub again, a refreshing experience. Thank you.

Found this site whilst trying to lookup the eystons phone number which I can never remember and have just read the posting re tough steak and mice.
There is now way that the Eystons would ever knowingly serve any thing other than perfect food and if they did and were told their meal would have been replaced or free of charge rather than simply warmed up.
I eat there every couple of weeks and have never had anything but wonderful food and service. This place is a gem when most meals are microwaved or poorly cooked from budget produce.
As to mice running over someone's foot that is obviously not true. Mice are far too timid and this is someone trying to get people to dine elswhere in the village.

Does Clive Johnson have an axe to grind with the people at The Eyston Arms? Perhaps he is the landlord of a rival establishment! I have eaten at The Eyston Arms ever since it opened in it's present form, and the fare (particularly over the past year or so) has never been less than excellent. Daisy and Maria the Chef, combine to make great team and I have always been welcomed into a lovely atmosphere and a spotlessly clean pub. Don't worry Daisy, you always get one ar****le amongst the crowd. Keep up the great work.

This can not be true. I have eaten in the Eystons several times and the food has always been delicious and the whole place is spotlessly clean.

I was sat hacking my way through a rather tough steak when a mouse ran over my foot, digusting. They should not be able to serve that stuff they call food.
