Waterside Development

Whilst I support this development in principal, it really needs to part of an integral Wantage & Grove developmental plan. There are many issues that need to be addressed in the area as part of a cohesive approach.
These are:-
1) The Limborough Rd development.
2) A new Secondary School for Grove
3) A new link road and bypass scheme
4) Healthcare facilities
5) General amenities like restaurants, coffee shops etc
6) Employment opportunities for the expanding population
7) Grove Airfield development
These are all issues that should be addressed by the local council in conjunction with the people that they are supposed to represent. However the current Lib dem controlled council appear to be doing very little to make this happen despite yearly increases in Council tax and their squandering of the reserve funds over recent years!
I would suggest that in order to make this development happen a strategic plan covering all areas of development is required and then I would suggest that the population of Wantage return a council that is capable of delivering such a plan!
